I don’t make cornbread often but when I do I use this recipe. The recipe is packed with flavor and is a crowd pleaser.
1 cup corn meal

1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter
Mix wet ingredients into dry. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the bread comes out clean. For muffins this is about 13-15 minutes.
