Bottom Layer

Layered Icebox Cookie Bars

1 cup butter

4 tsp brewed strong coffee

2 eggs

Mix together and add to the following.

3 cups flour

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp cinnamon

3/4 cup chocolate chips

1 cup chopped pecans.

Line a 9X11 dish with parchment paper.  Layer filling evenly across bottom.

Top Layer

1/2 cup butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

3/4 cup sugar

2 tbsp water

1 egg.

Mix together and add to the following.

2 cups flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking soda

3/4 cup raisins

Red and green candied cherries quartered.

Spread the 2nd layer on top of the first layer and freeze for at least an hour.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. pull dough from dish and cut in half.  Refrigerate half while you work with the other half.  Cut dough into bars and place on cookie sheets.  bake for 10 – 15 minutes or until golden brown.
