Dessert pizza is becoming more and more popular. This recipe for dessert pizza is easy to put together but the visual results are impressive. This dessert is colourful and filled with fresh fruit and tasty vanilla pudding. It’s sure to please family and friends.
Crust
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter
3 egg yolks
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 twp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp salt
Combine sugar, butter, egg yolks and vanilla until creamed. Add the dry ingredients and blend well. Transfer to a greased pizza tin or lined muffin tins. Make sure the crust is not too thick. Prick crust with fork and then bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool.
Filling
1 vanilla pudding mix.
Prepare vanilla pudding as per instructions on the package. Spoon onto cooled crust in a thin layer.
Fruit
Cut up your favourite fruit into bite sized pieces. Arrange artistically over the pizza crust or mini crusts.
Topping
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 package of orange gelatin mixture
Cook topping ingredients on the stove until shiny. While still warm spoon over berries. Transfer pizza or mini pizzas to the refrigerator and let cool for at least 4 hours.
