easy bread pudding

Home made bread pudding

Once a week we get a grocery box from local vendors. Quite often it includes fresh artisanal bread. While great by itself the bread makes fantastic bread pudding.



1 loaf artisanal bread. Your choice of flavour. cube.

1/2 cup whole cranberries

1 cup sliced apple

2 cups heavy cream

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/2 cup granulated sugar

4 beaten eggs


Beat eggs, sugar and heavy cream together until light and fluffy. Add diced pieces of the bread cranberries, apple, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix until well incorporated.

Let mixture sit for 30 minutes until the bread soaks up the wet ingredients. If the mixture is too dry add extra cream.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes or until well cooked.

Serve with vanilla ice cream or vanilla frozen yogourt.
